Montauto

Montauto is surrounded by woods and fields, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and of the medieval castle named Castelluccio di Pienza.

Its architecture is in typical Tuscan style, proportionate and spacious, built around a central courtyard which provides delightful privacy among a profusion of flowers. This is an ideal spot for outdoor dining during the spring and fall months.

Fontalgozzo

Fontalgozzo lies on a sunny hillside just below the Villa of La Foce, facing the much-photographed road flanked by cypresses that winds up the far hill.

The farm itself was built on a model designed by Cecil Pinsent, the English architect that created the garden at La Foce, in the 'twenties. It is now completely restored and converted.

Belvedere Grande

The restoration of this house was completed recently and great care was taken to keep the original atmosphere intact.

Old terracotta floors were saved whenever possible, and all the ceilings show their original oak beams.
The house is spread over several levels, with steps leading up and down from one room to another. Light flows in from every window, either from the garden or the ‘piazzale’ (square) in front. All ground floor rooms open out into the garden, which has a table and chairs for meals.

Belvedere Piccolo

This house is ideal for a family or group of friends with a taste for space, as the two living rooms allow plenty of privacy.

All the furniture, with some local antiques, blend in with the rustic character of the house. A big glass door leads into the garden, where table and chairs under a large umbrella are ready for al fresco meals.
The bedrooms are decorated in simple country style and have a fresh and cheerful atmosphere, with wonderful views right across the valley to the Monte Amiata.
